Safe and easy access for users of all ages, sizes and strengths;
the top access door opens sideways as opposed to up and away from
the user. This configuration minimizes the potential for the door
to accidentally slip and close on arms or hands, as well as being
easier to open and close while depositing waste. Handicap bins
allow convenient and safe wheelchair access. For attendant to
service the bin, the attendant door also opens sideways and does
not fight against gravity, virtually eliminating the potential
of attendant injury from accidental door closure, particularly
on angled units. For kids, a safety chain on the inside of the
service door attaches to the latch providing an opening mechanism
if a child decides to use the bin in a game of hide-and-seek.
